What my clients say…
Dawn’s therapeutic yoga classes have been extremely beneficial for me during this past year of COVID uncertainty with the many restrictions and lock-downs.
On a personal level, I’m so grateful that I’ve been able to wean myself off of a preventative migraine medication because of the stretches, exercises and breathing techniques I’ve been shown by Dawn to release tension and soreness in the neck, shoulders and upper back. It’s an amazing affirmation of the many benefits of yoga to body, mind and spirit.
Thank you, Dawn

Peachland, BCMy experience with Dawn has been amazing. My lower back pain has haunted me for years, this I know is from excessive running and not properly stretching. Her technique of relaxing the body and body stretching you can’t find in a book have helped me tremendously. Dawn is why I continue to run, hike, do my weights, and garden…hats off to a great therapist. Can’t wait for the neck massage to come back too.

I am a retired senior, and have attended yoga classes with Dawn for more than 5 years.
I recently consulted her for sudden very painful muscles in my lower back. During 2 private therapeutic yoga sessions, she taught me a number of exercises to help relieve the pain, and designed 2 sets of exercises to do at home to prevent
re-occurrence.
Dawn is always learning and advancing her skills and knowledge, and adjusting her teaching accordingly. Her instructions are very clear, and every session and class is interesting and different.
I highly recommend Dawn for yoga therapy and yoga classes.

Peachland, BCDawn Boys is amazing. In person or online she is a fantastic guide through ones yoga journey. She is an extremely talented teacher combining her knowledge of anatomy and kinesiology with her deep and through understanding and experience of yoga.
She invites her students to share what is going on in their body and effortlessly incorporates what they need into the day’s class for the benefit of all. I have learned so much about how my body moves and have become a partner in my own growth as her yoga student.
She is amazing. I cannot recommend her enough.

Peachland, BCI have I have known Dawn and regularly attended her ever-evolving yoga classes for over 16 years. As an over 65 yr old self-professed yoga junkie, I have experienced many, many yoga classes with a variety of teaching styles. Even though I have yet to attend any yoga class that I did not in some way enjoy, I always leave Dawn’s classes with that “extra something” feeling of blissful energy and renewed health.
Dawn has a remarkable ability to tailor each class to the present requests of her students. Any issue you may arrive to class with has melted away by the end of savasana. Dawn teaches with an anatomical focus for therapeutic postures, blended with the science of breath work and the wisdom of Ayurveda medicine.
I am so grateful to have Dawn’s teachings as an important part of my personal yoga journey; to expand my knowledge and appreciation of my body, mind, and soul. No matter where you are in your yoga practice, you too will be amazed by Dawn’s depth of knowledge and her capacity to make yoga accessible to all-
I have benefited from Dawn’s yoga teachings for many years. Here are some things I love about her classes.
Invitational/ intentional. Dawn’s teaching style invites the student to participate as fully as they can on the day. She suggests the breath work and the asanas but we’re always encouraged to make them our own – to do what feels best for our bodies.
Very clear instructions. I feel like could do most of her classes with my eyes closed! She demonstrates each pose/flow for those needing it. As well, the sound of her voice can be so reassuring, so supportive.
Inclusive/current. There can be students from a wide range of yogic experiences in a class. I’ve been Dawn’s student for many years and always feel like I’m learning something new. Recently, I participated in her Chakra series, focusing on one chakra per week. We would love for her to repeat that series- there’s so much depth and knowledge she has and shares. She’s like a encyclopaedia of human anatomy and Ayurvedic knowledge yet she imparts it in such a way to that is understandable and can be applied in the ‘here and now.’
Personal. Dawn’s classes usually start with a ‘how are you doing today’ aspect which enable students to share something they’d like to work on (eg neck, psoas, sinus, etc) and she has the amazing ability to weave those requests into the classes.
Grounded. I’ve had yoga classes with Dawn on the beach, in the classroom, in a gym, at her home studio , and on zoom. Whatever the format, Dawn Boys’ message is that all things are connected. She begins by acknowledging the land and originals peoples on which we can gather for our classes. Dawn’s strong relationship to the natural world and its events brings depth to her teachings.
I look forward to many more yoga teachings with Dawn.

Summerland BCRetired EducatorI am handicapped and need exercises to maintain my strength and balance. To me, yoga appeared too easy to do much good but my wife convinced me to give it a try. I was pleasantly surprised!
Dawn is an excellent and encouraging teacher and coach. She really knows her stuff. Dawn always asks me what I want to accomplish, then designs routines to meet my goals and specific needs. She provides me with illustrations and directions for each exercise, and follows up to monitor my progress. In our sessions, Dawn integrates flexibility and strength combined with exercises to improve my balance for safety. She is also helping me with relaxation.

Peachland, BCDawn is very knowledgeable and experienced in all types of yoga classes.
She can always suggest adapting a pose to suit individual needs and accommodate injuries. She encourages sharing specific problems at the start of each class and then incorporates those into that practice.
Dawn is a very caring woman.

Peachland, BCAs a young-at-heart senior I feel as if I’m gaining strength, agility and balance, which is vital at my age.
The class I’m enrolled in with Dawn is therapeutic yoga and she is very empathetic to each of our needs. I had breast cancer surgery a year ago and Dawn helped me to learn about my body, to take care of areas that were healing, and encouraged me to try, but also to pull back when necessary.
She has taught me to listen to my body, and I’m very grateful.
Thank you Dawn for making me feel as if I “still have it”.
